What is Mahjong?
Mahjong is a classic tile-based game of skill, strategy, and luck. Played with four players, it combines elements of rummy and card games. At Mahjong Social House, we teach American Mahjong in a relaxed, supportive ,social setting.
Can I come in or join by myself?
Absolutely! Many of our members start as solo visitors. Check our schedule for upcoming events.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No. We provide all equipment: mahjong sets, tiles, racks, and score cards. Just bring yourself! Beginners are welcome – we'll guide you through the rules step by step.
How many lessons do I need before I can play on my own?
Our goal isn't just to teach you how to play mahjong- we want you to feel comfortable and confident sitting down at any Mahjong Social House table. That's why our signature 4-week Mahjong Foundations Series includes three instructional classes followed by a Guided Play graduation session giving you the knowledge, practice and confidence to transition into Guided Play and Open Play sessions and become part of our growing community.
Do you have memberships?
Yes, we will be offering memberships this Fall after our Summer launch
